The Southern Missouri Arts Connection (SMAC) presented the work of College of the Ozarks graduate Olivia Stephens in a solo exhibit, "Strange as Ever."

A series of large scale mixed media sculptures and paintings that together create a cohesive motif predominately figurative in nature. These works express psycho-spiritual and religious cultural commentary.

In this collection of work Hill questions the death of potential. Each composition maps out a story of visible tension. Feeling like an incomplete work of art, you will be moved by a desire to “complete the picture”.

SMAC Studio artist Mary Arneson utilizes acrylic paint to express her visual poetry in this months exhibit.

How do you describe a stew? Certainly, it contains a variety of ingredients blended together. This exhibit is a combinations of materials and themes emerging to create a truly singular vision.

In this series, McDonald uses the inside of "Cheese-it" boxes as his vehicle to explore an autobiographic look at his dreams and response to life in general.

Come step into the world of these two Missouri native artists and experience the dappled light, velvet moss, and rustling leaves of the backwoods as your eyes wander through this exhibit. Local Artist Mary Evelyn Tucker presents a series of small and large scale paintings exploring a mix of sleeping pups and floral elements.

2020 was the year of the COVID-19 pandemic, political division, social unrest, isolation and profound internal reflection. This exhibits highlights artist various visual reflections on the year 2020.

Explore current pop culture through the eyes of artist Ryan Tate, a College of the Ozarks graduate, in his solo exhibit, McArtworks. Inspired by today’s fast paced pop culture, Ryan’s art touches on themes of fast food, consumerism and art history.

Lacey Finchum is an artist, author, and muralist whose works often explore humans, nature, and the environment. Lacey’s acrylic paintings and murals lean toward a surrealistic style that often involve bright colors and placing natural and man-made or human related objects in interesting juxtapositions with the intent of examining the interconnections of humans and nature.

The Branson Underground gallery will be full of artist made skate decks. Artists for the region were invited to paint a deck for this unique exhibit.

The gallery sponsor, Branson Underground, chose the theme "Unsilenced Voices" to bring focus to marginalized groups in the Ozarks such as LatinX, Black/Afro-American, LGBTQ+, Native American and similar communities.

SMAC presents the first annual “Post-it Note, 3”x3” Art Show”. All works of art will be sold for an affordable price, just $5 each, to benefit SMAC. All art sales will be split between SMAC and the artist.

Ozarks artist and educator Jennifer Manning will fill the gallery with a series of favored scaled and feathered beasts. The work in this exhibit spans two decades of her life moving through times of transition.

Youth are not bound by those rules yet learned and let their imaginations so. This August SMAC examines the uninhibited artistry of youth and celebrates childhood play and creativity.

On July 3, the Southern Missouri Arts Connection (SMAC) is opening its doors for Branson Underground Gallery’s first art show, SMAC Members’ Exhibit, displaying art from 26 unique area artists. These well-crafted pieces are an eclectic mix of genres and mediums, from three-dimensional pottery and glass to two-dimensional acrylics, oil, and mixed media paintings, from abstract to representational and everything in between.
